Our Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday, June 3rd at 7:30pm at the Calgary French and International School.
Our 50th year celebration continues! This concert showcases music played this millenium and features the world premiere of Perpetua written by Peter Meechan!!

Foothills Concert Band is proud to be taking part in the event that celebrates the new Riley Park Entertainment Shell (800 12 St NW, in the SW corner of the park). Sunday, June 24 from 1 to 4 p.m., there will be a free band concert put on by Calgary Wind Symphony (1 p.m.), Rocky Mountain Concert Band (2 p.m.), and your very own Foothills Concert Band (3 p.m.). In our segment, we will also be honouring the history of Foothills as we complete our 50th season! Thanks to the City of Calgary for partnering with all three bands to create such a great event — this will be the first time since 1980 that the three bands have shared the stage. We look forward to seeing you there!
Our Spring Concert will be Wednesday, May 23 at 7:00 p.m. at the Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall, Rozsa Centre at the University of Calgary. It will be a joint concert with Twelve Mile Coulee School (Grade 7, 8 and 9 Bands) and will feature the Canadian premiere of “Shubaduba” by American composer Dana Wilson. Tickets ($15/$10 Students/Seniors) are available online or at the door.
Our annual general meeting will be held on June 18, 2018 during rehearsal time (7:30pm).
The first of our Golden Jubilee concerts, celebrating 50 years of Foothills Concert Band, is Monday, March 19, 7:30 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church (1121 14 Ave SW: maps by Google, Apple, Bing). We will be featuring music that was composed in the 1960s and 1970s or that the band would have commonly played during that era. Tickets are $15 ($10 Seniors/Children) and are available at the door. Come join us for a far out, groovy time!
