Well - I don't know about you, but I thought Monday's rehearsal was awesome, and the music we made definitely made me feel like dancing! Well done for the first sight read of the season. Also, a big welcome to all those who joined us for the first time! We hope you felt welcomed and included. Next week's rehearsal is on our usual night, Monday (Sept 16th) and usual time (7pm) BUT will be at our normal venue, Henry Wise Wood High School.There is still time if you are considering joining with us for the 2024/2025 season, and we are accepting new members in all sections - especially Tuba and Bassoon!!! Feel free to come on out and try us.P.S.- I was only joking when I said I play the best instrument of them all...without everyone in the band, we couldn't make excellent music! Hello everyone! Our first rehearsal is just around the corner! Time to dust off our instruments after a long summer break, and get into playing mode for the 2024-2025 season! If you are new to us, WELCOME! We are a self auditioning group and you may attend our first three rehearsals for free before you make a decision to join with us. ***Our first rehearsal will be held on Monday, September 9th at 7pm in a special location - Calgary French and International School (700 77 St SW, Calgary AB T3H 5R1). Our next 2 rehearsals will follow on Monday Sept 16th and 23rd @7pm at our regular venue - Henry Wise Wood High School (910 75 Ave SW, Calgary AB T2V 0S6). Happy Fall, Y'all! Well, almost! This season with Foothills Concert Band is fast approaching and shaping up to be incredible. Jessica (Trumpet) and Andrew (Trumpet) are going to be taking care of your social media and website needs! Here are a few helpful hints for the start of the season!1. Come as you are. We aim to provide a safe place for you to be yourself and do what you love.2. Come to learn. We are all musicians and love to share with each other.3. Come to do your best. No one is perfect- as long as you are doing your best that is what counts. 4. Come to have fun! Performance begins at 7:00 p.m.
Where: St. Stephen’s Anglican Church (1121 14 Ave SW)
Admission is by cash donation (suggested donation, $10 per person).
